Nearly three decades of experience in vehicle accident investigation and reconstruction, from documenting and preserving physical evidence to performing complex reconstructions, and all the way through providing deposition and trial testimony. We have the extraordinary background of having worked for various reconstruction establishments, from smaller regional firms to worldwide companies, in the field of accident reconstruction for attorney's, insurance companies, corporations and private individuals.
Mr. Fred O. Davidson graduated from Florida State University FAMU/FSU College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), is an E.I. through the state of Florida and is currently a first year law student pursuing a Juris Master (J.M.) from Florida State University College of Law. Mr. Davidson has completed hundreds of hours in additional coursework from Northwestern University, Texas A&M University Engineering Extension Services (TEEX), University of Tulsa Continuing Engineering and Science Education (CESE), Collision Safety Institute, Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC, and Engineering Dynamics Corporation to name a few. Mr. Davidson has been accredited as an accident reconstructionist, qualified and accepted in court, and testified in both state and federal cases. He has shown and demonstrated academic achievement, completed accident specific training including participating and organizing, live staged crash tests as a driver, passenger and director. Has applied his experience in the field of motor vehicle crashes including, but not limited to, commercial vehicle tractor/trailers, passenger vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles, non-motorist bicycles and pedestrians. More refined areas of concentration include, but are not limited to, analysis of both hydraulic (passenger cars) and pneumatic (commercial vehicles) brake systems, bulb filament analysis, night-time reenactment, visibility issues, traffic signal timing sequence, crush analysis, roadway coefficient of friction testing and video analysis. Trained in proper techniques and procedures to collect, preserve and to have tested, vehicle fluids including fuel, oil, brake and transmission fluids for foreign debris regarding assertions involving vandalism and catastrophic damage. Mr. Davidson has spent much of his career focusing on imaging and downloading both passenger vehicle Airbag Control Modules (ACM) “blackbox” and commercial vehicle engine Electronic Control Modules (ECM).
A formerly licensed United States Coast Guard boat captain and a member of the International Association of Marine Investigators (IAMI), Mr. Davidson has experience, education and training in the areas of navigation, rules of the road and boating safety. Mr. Davidson has investigated marine accidents from damage collision consistency evaluation, marine vessel accelerations, safe navigation of marine waterways and marine vessel collisions with both moving and stationary objects and boat sinking’s. Mr. Davidson has provided legal testimony in marine vessel accidents.
